Decolonisation at Cambridge University
Decolonisation is an essential movement within Cambridge University, aimed at addressing and dismantling the legacy of colonialism within our institution's structures, curricula, and practices. In recent years, Cambridge has increasingly recognized the need to confront historical and ongoing forms of racial and cultural bias, which can limit inclusivity and diversity. This understanding led to the campaigning for Decolonisation at Cambridge.
Decolonisation at Cambridge aims to foster a more equitable, inclusive academic environment and challenges Cambridge to examine and transform policies, teaching, and institutional culture. By fostering critical conversations and actionable change, the report and the decolonisation working group will work to reshape Cambridge into a space where all voices are valued and historical legacies are transparently addressed.
Our commitment to decolonisation at Cambridge represents a shared vision of an educational experience that celebrates diverse perspectives, uplifts marginalised voices, and strives toward a truly inclusive academic community.
