Democracy Committee Ruling
On 27/02, the Democracy Committee received evidence that Ruari McColl's campaign had engaged in flyposting in support of the campaign.
Flyposting is in breach of the election rules (Rule 3.1), and the Democracy Committee has therefore decided to require Ruari McColl to take down any flyposted materials by the end of today, 28th Feb. Flyposted materials are posters or other promotional material placed on public property where this is not permitted by law, or on private property without permission.
All candidates have been reminded of the rules around flyposting and the placement of promotional materials.
