Are you staying over the Easter break and looking for activities to do? Then look no further! We have put together a guide on different events and activities taking place over the Easter break, as well as general tips on what you can do around Cambridge.
1. International Students Association (ISA): International Study Buddies
Over the break, ISA are running an International Study Buddies scheme. You’ll be paired up with another international student to study with over the holidays. It’s a great study motivator and a way to meet new people! To sign up, complete the form in the link above.
2. Sports Service: Give it a Go Sessions
The Cambridge University Sports Service has put together a timetable of different activities for students. This is a great chance to socialise with others and keep active! This includes sessions for padel tennis, badminton, and pickleball at the Sports Centre.
3. Cambridge Junction: Young Person's Weaving Trust
‘Weaving Trust’ is a series of events run by Cambridge Citizens to encourage young people to have open and meaningful conversations about issues that matter to them. This specific event is for those aged 16-25 where participants will learn how to have short but meaningful conversations with people they wouldn't usually have conversations with. These one-to-one conversations will celebrate differences, help to strengthen common identity and grow solidarity as an action to counter polarisation.
Their first event will be taking place on Thursday 3rd April at 4pm until 6pm at Cambridge Junction, Clifton Way Cambridge CB1 7GX.
4. Cambridge SU Lounge
Need somewhere to relax? The Cambridge SU Lounge is open outside of term time. With sofas and desks, there is a range of seating spaces available for your preference. Plus, there’s a pool table, microwave, vending machine and coffee machine. The perfect place to chill/study on your own or with friends. No need to book unless you are running an event. Just turn up and relax.
5. Advice Service: Student Support
Feeling like you need support over the Easter break? Our Advice Service is still operating as normal. They offer free, confidential, and impartial advice and support to all Cambridge University students, undergraduate and postgraduate, from any College or course.
6. Green Spaces: Jesus Green, Parker’s Piece, and Christ’s Piece
Cambridge is known for its green spaces. And, now that the sun is out and the weather is warming up, these spaces are more accessible than ever. Grab a book or some headphones and sit, watching the world go by. A great break from being inside!
