How to celebrate Halloween in Cambridge

Featured news

Halloween week is here! You may have spent the previous weekend celebrating with friends, however, if you are still looking to celebrate there are still lots of spooky activities you can get up to before Halloween is over.

College events:

Make sure you check out your college website to see if there are any Halloween events happening this week. Your J/MCR are most probably hosting events too so do check out their social media accounts for details.

Club nights:

If you enjoy a night out and getting dressed up for Halloween then one of these club nights may take your fancy;

  • Twisted Circus | Halloween at woo - MASH

  • From the rave to the grave// Halloween - Revolution

  • Déjà VU | Monster Mash

Crafting evening:

A cosy night in with friends can be the best way to spend any evening especially when you incorporate some spooky crafts. You can go down the traditional route of pumpkin carving or a less messy one with Ghost candle making. You can do this by simply getting yourself some long white candles, pop them in hot water then mold them into an S-like shape, dry them off and paint some eyes and a mouth and voila you’ve got yourself spooky ghost candles! This TikTok guides you through how to do it.

Movie night:

Grab some popcorn and Halloween-themed snacks and watch your favourite scary movie with friends or on your own (if you’re brave enough).

Multiple streaming services have a dedicated list of Halloween movies for you to enjoy, whether you’re into Slasher’s like Scream or more family-friendly like Hocus Pocus there’s definitely something for everyone.

Whatever you decide to do we hope you have a Happy Halloween!
