In May 2024, a Sabbatical Officer made a broad range of claims about Cambridge SU, primarily in an open letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor. A comprehensive investigation has since been conducted and, of the seventeen complaints expressed in this letter, fifteen were rejected, and two partially upheld.
Of the two complaints partially upheld, one pertained to a single occasion where there was no student representation on a University committee, and the other pertained to an occasion where a layer of process was missed in a HR procedure in February 2024.
Corrective action has been taken in both cases, and the Board is now satisfied that this matter is closed.
