What is the What's On Calendar?

The What’s On Calendar is a central place for the SU, student societies and sabbatical officers to advertise their events. By adding your events to the What's On calendar, you can sell tickets, share key information and message attendees with ease.

Having your events in one place makes it easier and more accessible for all students to find out what is going on and what they can get involved in. 


 

Want to add your event?


All club and Society committee members can add events to the What’s On Calendar. The steps to do so are:

  1. Log in to the website.
  2. Navigate to the What’s On Calendar
  3. Click on the small white cog in the top right corner
  4. From here, click on Events Admin where you will be able to add a new event.
  5. All events need to have a name, date, photo and description before they can be published so please make sure to have this information ready before publishing the event.
  6. Remember to add an image so people can easily identify your event!

Society Spotlight

Society Spotlight is the chance for Cambridge SU societies to get promoted to current and prospective students on social media, specifically our SU Instagram.

Freshers’ Fair & Refreshers’ Fair

Our Freshers’ and Refreshers Fair are one of the ways we offer for societies to recruit more members, as well as network with other societies and promote any unfilled committee roles.

Committee members who are part of a society registered with the SU will be notified by email when Freshers’ Fair and Refreshers’ Fair stalls are on sale. Stalls will go on sale at the beginning of each of the months below:

Tips for advertising your society and finding new members:

  • Setup a Facebook and/or Whatsapp group. You can link social media profiles to your listing on the Cambridge SU societies directory to ensure members can easily find and follow you online.
  • Whats On Calendar - put events on our whats on calendar to promote them to other Cambridge students
  • Society Committee Update - can featured in our society committee update to ensure your content reaches a large portion of students.
  • Freshers & Refreshers Fair Stalls - you will have the opportunity to book a stall at our Freshers and Refreshers Fair, which open for bookings in August.
  • Society Email Address - all societies have the option to create a singular society email address for committee members.
