The Blackbirds are Cambridge's only uni-wide poetry society, welcoming anyone who wants to stretch their lyrical fingers and join a group of fellow writers in producing an anthology.
The CU Blackbirds Poetry Society is a platform for members to share their poetry in a constructive and supportive environment, to develop their poetic voices, explore different styles and meet other like-mindeds. Not including each week in which there is a prompt-led poetry workshop for members to receive anonymous feedback, the Blackbirds host writing sessions, open mic and reading events, speaker events and publish two Zines a year.
