About

The Herpetology Society aims to foster university-wide interest in amphibians and reptiles, while promoting awareness of their ecological importance, conservation, and responsible care. Our society provides a welcoming space for enthusiasts and researchers alike to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices in herpetology. While our primary focus is on amphibians and reptiles, we also explore related fields, including terrestrial arthropods and insects.

The society will host a variety of activities, including informal meetups to discuss terrarium and species ecology, field excursions to observe wildlife in their natural habitats, and conservation initiatives to protect and support local herpetofauna. Additionally, we will organize talks and workshops led by guest speakers or society members to enhance our understanding of herpetological research and conservation efforts. Through these activities, we strive to educate, engage, and inspire a new generation of herpetology enthusiasts and conservationists.
