Our society works to raise funds and awareness for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), a charity providing medical care for those who need it most in situations such as war zones or natural disasters
We are the Cambridge branch of a national society supporting the work of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF, also known as Doctors Without Borders). MSF provides medical care to those who need it, based on their committment to the principles of Impartiality, Independence and Neutrality. This allows the charity to access areas others cannot, but means that it does not accept any money from governments to avoid any appearance of bias towards any parties. As a result, MSF is totally reliant on donations from the public to carry out their amazing work.
We work to raise both funding and awareness about the work of MSF through a range of events. Look out for our upcoming quiz night, talks, humanitarian medicine-themed hackathon, and annual conference! We'll be sharing information about our events and updates about MSF's incredible work via our Facebook page and mailing list, so sign up to keep up to date!
