CULA exist to build understanding of the Liberal Democrats and Liberalism in Cambridge through high-profile speaker events (past visitors include Nick Clegg, Menzies Campbell, Charles Kennedy, Shirley Williams, David Steel, Simon Hughes and Ed Davey), frequent social events, and ongoing campaigns. Spirited Discussions is our well-known and much-loved flagship event, where we debate three motions in a gradually less coherent manner. Comedy greatly encouraged, new speakers indubitably welcomed, and a fantastic way to mix politics and fun.
