The Marlowe Society is one of Cambridge's oldest drama societies, founded in 1907. We stage classical texts, foster connections with professional theatre, and develop new writing.
Over 100 years later, the society remains committed to staging classical texts (the annual BME Shakespeare), fostering connections between the student and professional theatrical worlds (the Marlowe Showcase and the Marlowe Arts Show) and developing the skills of early career playwrights (the Marlowe Writers' Group, Hatch, The Other Prize).
