Elves, dwarves, wizards, dark lords, dragons, warriors, ents, hobbits; all in the world-famous works of JRR Tolkien. Ever read The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings? Want to meet other people who love these books? Join the CTS! We organise various events - the Foreyule Feast, Annual Dinner and Puntmoot being highlights - but our major pastime is reading, discussing and enjoying Tolkien's works, the world's best-loved fantasy fiction.
We meet every Wednesday evening at 19:30 to discuss a topic from the works of Tolkien, share our favourite passages, play Tolkien themed board-games or argue in our termly Eagle Debates.
This term we are alternating our meetings between online and in-person weeks. Details will be sent out on the society's mailing list each week.
