About

CU Ukrainian Society, the UK’s oldest student-run Ukrainian society, promotes Ukrainian culture, history, and contemporary issues within Cambridge’s academic community.

Cambridge University Ukrainian Society was founded in 2001 and is the oldest student-run Ukrainian society in the UK. We are also one of the most vibrant multi-cultural communities in Cambridge. CUUS is pivotal in promoting Ukrainian culture and history within one of the world’s foremost academic institutions. By uniting students, academics, and community members, the society fosters a profound appreciation for Ukraine’s rich heritage and facilitates meaningful dialogue on its contemporary challenges.

Amid Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine, CUUS testified to its proactivity and resilience. It organises weekly protests to amplify awareness and solidarity, hosts frequent fundraisers, and collaborates with other university and community-based societies to extend the reach of its initiatives. This way, CUUS celebrates Ukraine’s cultural identity and galvanises the Cambridge community to stand in unwavering support of Ukraine during its most trying times.

CUUS is run by five executive committee members who are supported by numerous advisors and officers. Join the team to shape the future of CUUS!

Glory to Ukraine!
